Computer Systems Design for the 21st Century -
Talks by leading researchers in computer architecture, operating systems, and programming languages
The International Conference on Architectural Support for
Programming Languages and Operating Systems is the leading
interdisciplinary forum in computer systems design. Members of the
programm committee, meeting this week in Rochester, will share their
thoughts on the challenges and oportunities of next-generation
systems, including
Internet and cloud computing,
security and privacy,
mobile and hand-held systems,
novel processor architectures,
power and energy conservation,
and computing in the public interest.
A poster session from noon to 1PM (Room 601) will showcase current research by
graduate students in Rochester's Computer Science department.
