Abstract: Quantitative analysis methods and computing techniques are playing a more and more important role in biomedical research, especially in the research of infectious diseases such as HIV and influenza A infection. With the development of mathematical modeling techniques and data analysis methods, it is currently feasible to investigate and understand biological problems in a systematic manner. However, even for comparatively simple mathematical models, the associated computing problems could be challenging. In this presentation, various computational issues in complex dynamic systems will be described in the hope of identifying new research topics and encouraging collaborations cross different disciplines.
