Database of Reuse Signatures

This is the database of reuse signatures collected by the Compiler group of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Rochester. Feel free to add to the database. Contact cding at cs.rochester.edu for tools that will instrument and generate a reuse distance histogram that can be submitted into the database. Currently, we are only able to instrument alpha and x86 binaries.

Interface Layout

The name of an instrumented program appears in the highlighted lines, above a list of its representative inputs.

Viewing the database

  1. Visit the hyperlinks adjacent to any program to see either the reuse signature or the cache miss rate statistics on that program
  2. Alternatively, choose any combination of inputs (or choose all inputs) from any ONE program
  3. Select a value from the drop box to limit the number of displayed x-values
  4. Choose the type of plot you want generated
  5. Submit your request via 'Plot marked'
