About:

Xue is a second year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Rochester. Her research work focuses on humanoid motor control.

Research Interests:

My research interests include motor control, robotics, machine learning, computational neuroscience. Currently, I am working on humanoid motor control using the concepts of motor primitives. There are evidence from neuroscience that motor primitives exists in natural animals, and those primitives can be adaptively combined into complex behaviors. How does human being encode motor commands in the brain? How is movements controlled in the motor contex? How can the machanisms human being uses be applied to robotics to build up dexterous, adaptive and flexible agents? These are the questions that I am wondering in my research.
