Tools

This page is meant to host information about tools we are going to be using extensively in the class.

  • Subversion : We are going to be using SVN extensively in the class, to host team projects and work on existing ones. For example, a couple of sample programs are already hosted in an svn repository for you to check out.
  • Doxygen : This is a convenient tool for source code browsing. Should you be working in a big project, code browsing is essential for understanding and coping with the code complexity. Doxygen parses the source code and creates a set of statically linked html files (or some other markup language), corresponding to the actual source code, that can help you deal with this process.
