Printing From Your Personal Computer

Mac Computers - Enabling Mac (OSX 10.9+) CUPS print service

open System Preferences 
click on the "Printers & Scanners" icon
at the bottom of the left-hand pane, click the "+" button
in the pop-up dialog box
     choose "Internet Printing Protocol - IPP"
     enter "print.cs.rochester.edu:631" in "Address" box
     enter "printers/chaucer" (or "printers/shake") in "Queue" box
     enter name you want to use for the printer in "Name" box
         (e.g. "Chaucer IPP")
     leave "Location" blank (or enter "mail room" or whatever)

Use "Generic Postscript Printer"
Click "Add" button
You may receive a warning message dialog that says "Couldn't connect to printer do you want to continue to create the printer anyway?"
Click "Continue" to confirm you do want to proceed.
on the pop-up menu, select "Duplex Unit"
click "Continue"
