Experiments with Visual Specification

    During the development of our system we tested it on several real world manipulation problems and found it easy to use, both for performing different tasks and for mapping to different hardware configurations. We have used it in regular 2-week course projects and the students have been able to implement tasks such as herding a mechanical LEGO ``sheep'' around a maze in real time, without modeling either the maze or sheep movements. In this section we show two typical tasks: solving a puzzle and installing a light bulb.
