Homework and projects
Homework assignments
All homework submissions should conform to conform to the homework submission requirements
The solutions will be made available on this page the shortly after
the homework is due. No submissions will be allowed after the
solutions are published . You can get an extension under the
following rules.
- You notify me that you need an extension by email myrosia@cs.rochester.edu
before the deadline, and specify how many extra
days you need. You will get the extension provided it does not interfere
with publishing answers and code that may be needed for the
subsequent projects.
- We will apply a 0.9 multiplier to your grade for every day your
assignment is late except Sunday. Your assignment counts as a day
late if it is submitted within 24 hours of the original deadline, 2
days late between 24 and 48 hours and so on. Not counting Sundays
means that if the assignment is due on Friday and I get it on Monday
morning, it will be counted as 2 days late. Note that there are no
guarantees that I will be available on weekends to get the
hand-written assignments.
- We will also consider general penalty-free extensions for the
entire class under circumstances where we are alerted at least 48
hours before the deadline to the need for extra time (and the reasons
are good and apply to the class as a whole), and this does not disrupt
the course schedule.
