I am a PhD candidate and advised by Prof. Kai Shen. My interests fall into the area of computer systems (in particular, the topics of file and storage systems, distributed systems, and virtualization). I am interested in building real systems, through which I gain the chance to learn, understand, and manage the complexity of modern computer systems. During the past few years, I have been working on the storage I/O deduplication and the cross-group, cross-disciplinary project of emerging data-driven intelligence in the field. I also have experience with distributed file systems, especially the metadata management and its high availability support.

Before coming to Rochester, I completed my Master's degree from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was an undergraduate student at Xiamen University.
