The final exam will be held at 8:30am--11:30am May 12, Saturday in CSB 601. The exam is open textbook and open notes. You can bring your textbook and class notes to the exam. You can only use your computer for reading your electronic textbook if you do not have a hard copy textbook. In that case, the wireless network must be turned off on your computer.
The final exam will cover all materials in the class but we will focus more on topics learned after the midterm. In preparation for the final exam, please carefully go over the lecture notes and also read the textbook. Note that the lectures deviate significantly from the textbook on several topics, including networking, synchronization, and parallelism. In those cases, you can skip the textbook content that is clearly not covered in lectures.
Here we provide a few example problems to help you prepare for the exam. Note that these example problems are NOT comprehensive in covering the scope of the exam.
We will hold the following office hours to help you prepare for the final exam.
