I was born in the city of Athens, capital of Hellas (Greece), in the April of 1976. I lived in Athens until 1994, when I moved to Crete to pursue my B.Sc in Computer Science at the University of Crete. I received my B.Sc. in January of 1999. During my studies in Crete I also joined the Computer Architecture & VLSI Systems division of the Institute of Computer Science which is one of the seven research institutes that constitute the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas.

In September of 1998 I started graduate studies in Computer Science at the University of Rochester, where I received the M.S. degree in March of 2000 and the Ph.D. degree in August of 2005. My thesis is entitled "Increasing the Energy Efficiency of Adaptive Architectures", and is part of the Complexity-Adaptive Processing project of the Computer Circuits and Systems Group. My adviser is professor Michael L. Scott.

Since September of 2003 I have been working as a Senior Research Scientist at the Intel Barcelona Research Center, in Barcelona, Spain. My current research is focused on power-aware and high-performance architectures.
