FAQ for CS Account Holders
Q: How do I change my password? A: Login to any machine and type the command passwd. Your new password will be immediately available on all department hosts.
Q: How do I change my default shell?
A: Login to
master.cs.rochester.edu and type chsh (Undergraduate account holders use
master.csug.rochester.edu). Current valid shells are "
/bin/sh", "
/bin/bash", "
/bin/csh", and "
/bin/tcsh". Updates are generally distributed to all machines by the following morning.
Q: Does CS have a Wiki? A: Yes.

Q: How do I acquire permission to post in the Wiki?
A: Register @
