I completed my PhD and my advisor was Professor Kai Shen. My interests fall into the area of computer systems (in particular, the topics of file and storage systems, distributed systems, and virtualization). I am interested in building real systems, through which I gain the chance to learn, understand, and manage the complexity of modern computer systems. During the past few years, I have been working on the storage I/O deduplication and the cross-group, cross-disciplinary project of emerging data-driven intelligence in the field. I also have experience with distributed file systems, especially the metadata management and its high availability support.

Before coming to Rochester, I completed my Master's degree from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was an undergraduate student at Xiamen University.
