• Suppose 3 objects make a want a shared resource?

• Obj1 invokes askFor (2 & 3 cannot invoke)

  • inUse == false, set inUse = true, end method

• Obj2 invokes askfor (1 & 3 cannot invoke)

  • inUse == true, enter while-try-wait() loop,

• Obj3 invokes askfor

  • inUse == true, enter while-try-wait() loop
