Adiba Mahbub Proma, URCS Grad Student

Hi everyone! I'm a first year PhD student of Computer Science at University of Rochester. My research interests lie in AI and HCI. I'm especially interested in Machine learning, Deep Learning, Representation Learning and how they can be applied to problems related to NLP and multimodal data. I'm also interested in interdisciplinary research, especially those related to using AI to achieve social goals.

I completed my B.Sc. degree in 2019 from BRAC University, Bangladesh. After that, I spent a year working as a lecturer at my alma-mater.

I’m also very passionate about writing, especially feature writing and fiction-writing. Over the years, I've built up a pretty interesting collection of write-ups. You can learn more about my writing experiences here, or check out my medium blog! I also enjoy reading (but don't get a lot of time to do it) and photography (but get too lazy to maintain a portfolio online).

You can look through my projects at github, LinkedIn Profile or CV.

My personal website has more details on some of the previous cool things I had the opportunity to be involved in!

Whether you need someone for a short-term project or a long-term collaboration or simply to discuss the exciting work you're doing, I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me through email at aproma@cs.rochester.edu.
