Computer Science Advising Checklistdeclaring their major or completing the Computer Science degreerequirements.
Minimum GPA:Students must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA in the
6 premajor courses to qualify to declare the CS major. Students just meeting
this minimum, however, show a limited competency in the foundation
courses and may have difficulty with more advanced coursework. Clusters & writing requirements: At the time a student completes paperwork to declare his/her concentration, the 2 clusters (Social Science & Humanities) must also be declared. Students must also be aware of the policy on upper level writing within the major and indicate how they will fulfill the writing requirements. See section Upper Level Writing Requirement in the undergraduate curriculum document for more details.
